Pho Bac Hoa Viet is on this “Sacramento’s Best Pho” list because it has been consistently making great Pho for as long as I can remember. I typically go to their restaurant off of Bradshaw but from my experience the one off of Madison and Auburn Blvd is also on par with this location.

If it’s your first time getting Pho I recommend starting off with an appetizer like the spring rolls and then going with a simple Pho like the #12(beef Pho) or #14(chicken Pho). They are both simple but tasty. Make sure to add the garnishes and maybe some sriracha or chili sauce.

These two Pho Bac Hoa Viet locations have friendly and attentive staff and they typically get orders out to you in about 10 minutes. That being said there have been a few times when it’s taken 20 minutes but it was during the dinner time rush. On a different occasion my family and I felt like we were being rushed. I get that it’s busy but we can only eat so fast.

That being said I still come here often and will continue to do so because my love of Pho is too great and Pho Bac Hoa Viet knows how to make great Pho.

Pros: Some of the most flavorful and best pho in the Sacramento area. Friendly and attentive Staff(most of the time). Other menu options are also a hit.

Cons: Not really any small food options for younger kids. Take a look at their menu before going in with your kids to make sure it’s ok for them or just be ready to share. One staff member at the bradshaw location was a bit rude and was trying to rush us.

Pro tip: If you have some Pho leftovers, have the staff put it in a to-go cup for you. It can get messy! This applies to all Pho restaurants 🙂 Unless you are confident in you Pho pouring abilities.

Pho ABC is on our Sacramento Best Pho list because they make a delicious pho broth and have generous portions. They also gain extra points in my book because the staff has always been friendly to me.

When ordering to-go they separate all the meat and veggies from the broth which is a huge plus. But I highly recommend eating in as I feel the portions are larger if you do and it’s easy to ask them for extras if you are there.

Overall it’s a solid Pho restaurant in my book.

Pros: Generous portions, Friendly and attentive staff.

Cons: Service can be lacking if it’s busy. If you order extra meat or veggies make sure you actually get extra. Multiple times I have asked for extra shrimp and they have forgotten BUT they have always fixed this.

Coriander is probably my favorite on this Best Pho in Sacramento list. I really like the flavor of their broth. It tastes rich, flavorful and has umami. You can tell they spend time on it. The pork springtime rolls are some of the best that I have tried in Sacramento and go perfectly with some pho. I highly recommend starting off with the rolls and moving on to the pho. You will most likely have left overs but that is usually a good thing.

The restaurant itself is one of the cleanest of the bunch and I really appreciate that as it makes me feel comfortable when eating in.

Food always comes out hot even with a larger group.

Pros: Friendly and accommodating staff. They are knowledgeable and always give you great answers to your questions. This place has the best service compared to the rest. Clean restaurant.

Cons: In my experience parking can be a real pain if you are coming here at 6pm. Get here early and not during rush hour. Higher prices because of location.
