I really didn’t know much about the escape room scene in Sacramento before my friends forced me to go to one. But after my first experience I was definitely hooked. Ever since I was on the hunt for the best escape room in Sacramento.

Enchambered Sacramento Escape room is one of the best if not the best escape room in Sacramento. They have 3 different escape rooms at their location and they are all really high quality and will definitely keep you on your toes till the last minute.
You can tell the experience was well thought out and executed by the quality of the storyline, the props, the decorations, lighting, sounds and the training that the staff has.
All the staff so far have been very friendly and enthusiastic which really makes Enchambered escape room a well rounded experience. They really do help with the vibe and support.
If it’s your first time at an escape room they will show you the ropes and make sure you have a good time. I came here with different friend groups and all of us were always
Pros: Incredible staff, high quality experience, challenging puzzles.
Cons: It can get busy, book ahead on their website.

Escape Sacramento is an overall great experience. My friends and I came here on two separate occasions and had a blast both times. The staff is nice and helpful if you need them.
They offer 3 indoor games and one outdoor game. So far my friends and family have tried 2 of their indoor games and have been very happy with the experience. We have not done the outdoor game yet but it might be a great idea after a few drinks at the brewery next door 😉
Escape Sacramento staff offers some cryptic hints if you need them. And we did.. But they make you work for the clue a bit so it doesn’t feel like you are cheating too much.
That being said the puzzles and the ambiance were not quite as good as Enchambered but I would still highly recommend trying them out. They are located downtown on I and 19th next to At Ease Brewing company so you can really make a fun night out coming here with friends.
Pros: Overall great experience, owner and staff are friendly and accommodating.
Cons: You may have to park down the street a bit but it’s downtown and to be expected.
One of the escape rooms is a bit dark so I recommend letting staff know if you have vision problems.

Neo Escape rooms definitely deserves to be on our “Sacramento Best Escape Room” list because it provides exactly what you want when you go to an escape room. Emersion, challenge and surprises.
From the get go the staff is really welcoming and knowledgeable. They explained the rules of the escape room and how everything worked and moved us along smoothly to the room. We booked everything online through their website which made things really easy for our group.
Our gamemaster helped make the experience fantastic. He stayed in character the entire time and had great energy. He set the stage with his opening monologue that seemed really refined and well timed with the music and the scene.
When we asked for a hint he gave us just enough info to move us along to the next thing. Keeping it exciting and fun.
Neo Escape Rooms is probably my second favorite escape room location. Enchambered being the first because they have 3 different rooms where Neo only has one at the moment.
I will definitely be coming back with my friends to see their new builds when they are ready.
Pros: High attention to detail with the atmosphere. Awesome Staff that stays in character.
Cons: Location is a con in my book. We do not go to Old Sacramento often.
