Most of these courses have a wait time to tee off and for good reason; the pin placement changes, provide clean bathrooms and have a pro-shop near or at the course. If your expecting to show and play immediately these course may not be the best bet. Weekends tend to be the most crowded as with any outdoor sports and most of the population being off work on the weekends.

Shady Oaks Disc Golf course is one of the top rated courses in the Sacramento area. Their rated as a professional level course and has frequent tournament’s. As one of the most popular courses in the Sacramento region some of the best times to play without a crowd or wait times is either weekend mornings around 6-7am. The weekdays are not as crowded but usually the mornings are solid for no wait time to tee off.
This course has the Final 9 Pro-shop attached to the course. They provide disc for sell, drinks, and provide current course conditions and pin placements. Pin placements changed frequently. The course has many obstacles to over-come, with many trees to shoot by, couple of dry creeks and 1 wet creek.
The course is well-maintained by the city park and the locals. This course is known for its abundance of trees and my personal favorite hole #5 where my slicing right shots can help me setup a good hole! LOL
This course provides challenges for everyone, in every skill-level to enjoy, and meet some great people!

Rocklin Disc Golf course is another fan favorite. Located in the city of Rocklin about 20 minutes from Sacramento is a course that provides over 5,000′ of playing with a mix of long and medium holes. This course provides many good challenges with some large oak trees, a creek that golfers have to strategically shoot over to get the pin!
My favorite hole is #9. The big oak tree that you can see from the tee provides me a great and exciting challenge. With the pin placement on the right my natural slice gives me a good shot at the the pin.
This course is well maintained with the city park staff helping to keep this beautiful park at its peak state at all times! Parking is plentiful and surrounded with a skatepark and children playground.
The course is well-known and rated with the PDGA. The weekends are crowded and they do have tournament’s frequently . Some of the better times to play without having to wait or the weekday mornings and afternoons.
BT Collins Disc Golf Course

This Folsom area disc golfing course was built in 2017. Mostly known for a beginners course. Provides some good power shots for the seasoned player. No pro-shop as of now.
Not very long you could get a full round in rather quickly with the option to play 18-holes. Foot traffic is light compared with Rocklin and Shady Oaks.
This course is a fabulous course to play for practice or if you would like to get a round in without having to wait to tee off for very long. It about 15 minutes from Sacramento this is one of the course to get some good practice in and have a fast-paced play!

Auburn disc golfing course is a Sacramento area favorite. Located about 30 minutes from Sacramento this is a great and challenging course to enjoy.
With the front 9 having trees as the main obstacle to over-come and the back 9 having some open space to really let it rip. From heavily wooded areas to open grassy areas you get a little dose of everything here.
My favorite hole is # 8. As you get through the heavily wooded areas of the front 9 course, #8 provides a change with the open area to really let it rip and rip is what I do!
